Founded in 1969, ARCA is a nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer board of directors. There are usually less than 50 clients being treated on the ARCA campus at any given time, which allows for highly specialized individual care.
The open space and farmland surrounding the ARCA campus provides an ideal setting for treatment and recovery. The ARCA campus includes a dormitory serving both women and men, a dining hall, meeting/counseling rooms, a separate building for family group programs and outdoor recreation areas.
As a result of the care received from ARCA, hundreds of recovering clients have returned to their families and jobs as valuable members of their communities. If you or someone you know has a drug or alcohol problem, ARCA can help.
Credentials
ARCA received the coveted seal of approval from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in 2009. By receiving the CARF accreditation, ARCA has demonstrated that it meets internationally recognized standards of excellence, with a focus on client satisfaction and an ongoing desire to enhance programs and service.
In addition to the prestigious CARF accreditation ARCA is licensed by the State of North Carolina for the treatment of chemical dependency. ARCA staff is fully licensed and certified to provide medical detoxification residential treatment services and family therapy.
ARCA’s program is based on industry best practices, person-centered therapeutic approaches, and introduction to the widely respected 12-step programs. ARCA’s treatment programs are comprehensive, designed to restore mind, body and spirit.
